Set a daily or total budget to promote your job.

Promote your job post by setting up a daily or total budget. You decide your budget and can close the post whenever you find the right person.

The higher the daily budget, the further up your job post will be advertised in job searches and the longer it will be actively marketed to LinkedIn members.

You won't be charged for:

  • Viewing your own job post
  • Multiple views from the same person
  • Views from people not signed in to LinkedIn

Important tip: keep your job post open for at least five days to get enough qualified applicants.

Budgeting for your job post.

From setting a budget to understanding how cost is determined, our pricing system is built for whatever budget you're working with.

Cost of posting a job on LinkedIn.

With our pay-per click pricing model, the cost of each job is entirely up to you.

For example:

If you use a $10 daily budget and run a job post for 30 days, your total cost will be $300 (if the post reaches the daily budget).

Alternatively, you can set a total budget instead so you don't have to remember to close your job. A job post with a total budget will automatically pause once your spend reaches the total budget amount.

For example: if you have a $300 total budget, your job post will automatically pause once the $300 has been spent.

Important tip: this job post will not close on its own. You can edit or close it at any time, but it will keep spending until you close it.

How we determine our budget recommendation.

When setting your budget, we'll recommend a value based on the job title, location, and market activity that ensures your job post gets placed in a competitive spot. Ultimately, you get the final say in your budget.

How cost-per-click is determined.

The cost of each click is determined by an algorithm that looks at where your job is located and how many competing, similarly titled posts have been created within that market.

Calculate the cost of each click (clicks and views are one in the same) bydividing the total spend amount by the number of views the job has received. All this information can be found on the job details page.

Answers to frequently asked questions.

Your charges will accrue daily. You can monitor the spend from your account. Your card will be charged within 48 hours of closing your job, 30 days from the day you posted if the job is still active, or if you hit a $500 balance first (USD specific).

You only pay for job views by candidates. You aren't billed for views from LinkedIn employees or the job poster. As a result, you might see a discrepancy in the number of views and the amount charged.

Your bill will come via email at the end of your billing cycle. You can also view and print receipts from your billing history page.
